Review: Rhys Has a Crush
Rhys Has a Crush by Melanie Tushmore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I literally LOL with this one.
Rhys is super cute, dorky and adorable...his scheme to get Damien to finally notice him is silly and funny.
Damien, is a bit...I didn't really get him until the last minute.
Maybe inspiration will hit Melanie again and she will write more for us?

Review: Giving an Inch
Giving an Inch by Heidi Belleau
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This was a short, sexy read. 3.5 stars, rounded up.
I was actually expecting more, going by the blurb it felt like it was longer than the actual book.
I have to be honest and say that the texting by mistake was a bit silly to start off, but nothing after that was silly at all.
It´s the perfect short story for those with a voyeurism tendency, and get a kick out of sex in public ;)
The D/s relationship is all in the form of text messages, so the interaction between Carson and James is more in James POV and what he remembers and shares with the readers.
But the dynamic is clear, the attraction strong and Jame´s need to please his Professor is hot.
So yes, go get your fix of risky sex with this great short.

Review: Never a Hero
Never a Hero by Marie Sexton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Another novel in the Tucker Springs Universe.
It was a sweet, short story. Not really up to the normal standards for Marie Sexton.
I’ve read a few others of her book that I enjoyed very much.
This one felt like there was a lot to be said, that wasn’t.
We don't get much about the characters, as in background story or depth into their personalities. It felt rushed.
Owen comes from a family with a mother that is miserable and enjoys making everyone else just as miserable as her. Trying to overcome his disability and not letting it define him, he falls in love with his next door neighbour.
Enter Nick, the neighbour, who happens to have his own secret and past demons and you have two broken man trying to help each other be whole.
Like I said it was sweet, but it felt rushed.

Review: Lover At Last
Lover At Last by J.R. Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
JR Ward better be writing next book as we speak.
This book was amazing, everything I was waiting and expecting and more, so much more.
The romance, what we were all not so patiently waiting for, is there. There is a lot of miscommunication and stupid male egos getting in the way, but it works, and in the end we get what we wanted.
Like any other BDB book the sup plots are there are maybe take the front stage once or twice during the book but is just the way the author works and writes.
Getting the reader invested in new characters, that will definitely be getting their own book.
I am looking forward to Xcor's book, first because I have mix feelings towards the Bastard, second because his story will be link to Layla (who I finally started to warm up to with this book) and that means we will see more of Qhuinn and Blay.
I want to read more from Assail too, not so much Marisol but...
The Shadows were intriguing too, Trez with the Chosen and iAm, who I think will work really well with Saxton. I want his HEA too.
So much going on...
Yes, I was excited to finally having Blay and Qhuinn together, naked but their story was about so much more.
Qhuinn's need for family, his need to belong somewhere and more importantly to someone that broke my heart. He couldn't get the words out.
But Blay; patient, caring and constant friend Blay, push him and gave him space as he needed. Was there for him and finally gave Qhuinn what he needed the most.
It was so easy to fall back into the Brotherhood world, I can't wait for the next one.
